Description:
47" Kidder Model CW single shaft center rewind slitter rewinder. 50" dia. unwind. 50" dia. rewind. Shear cut slitting. (1) 3" air shaft on unwind. (1) 3" air shaft on rewind. Manual edge guiding. Manual skew adjustment. 20" Montalvo air-cooled, air-operated brake. CMC automatic tension control system. Automatic tension control on brake automatically controls unwinding brake as diameter decreases. Maintains constant tension. Hydraulic mill roll loading & unloading on unwind & rewind. No hoists are needed for loading or unloading machine. Designed for one-man operation. Approx. 45 female knives. 9 male knives. Minimum slit width 2". Reliance 40 HP DC variable speed drive motor. Controller for drive motor is Cleveland Machine Controls. 460 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle. Taper tension control. Mechanical speed 3000 FPM. Kidder CW is good for slitting & rewinding one-time carbon paper, carbonless paper, register bond, tabulated card stock, gift wrapping paper, tag & label stock, kraft paper, foil, laminated foil, coated paper, photographic films, laminated products, newsprint, tissue & toweling, nonwovens, tube & core stock, cellophane, pressure-sensitive laminations & many other non-extensible. Most recently was used to slit coated papers.
